Develop and present ideas for Catalyst Workplace Activation prospects, and customers which solve problems, and create value for their business, and which cause them to partner with Catalyst Workplace Activation for their purchase decisions. Manage the business relationship with specific accounts over time to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Your contract furniture industry knowledge will help you in your efforts as an innovator with clients to imagine and create the solutions that best fit their culture and long-term success.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Providing Customers Insight

  • Provide ideas that your customer may not be thinking of which helps their business.
  • Lead customers to Catalyst Workplace Activation solutions.
  • Maintain a profitable and mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Establish Day 1 and Day 2 standards.
  • Add value to customer over time (savings, and improvements).

 Position Focus & Key Outcomes

  • Identify leads and create a business development plan.
  • Use your relationship building skills and network to find sources of new business ideally before an RFP process begins.
  • Acquire new customers and increase business volume for Catalyst Workplace Activation.
  • Research and assess specific customer needs.
  • Work with potential customers to help them visualize their new or redesigned workplace.
  • Prepare and present Catalyst Workplace Activation Value Proposition.
  • As part of the team, help to develop standards and best practices for continually enhancing the customer experience while growing profitable business.
  • Close new and repeat business, meeting or exceeding sales targets determined with the VP of Sales.
  • Develop a deliberate customer communication plan divided and coordinated between Innovation and Implementation.


  • Actively pursue new business development, and maintain profitable and mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Use targeted prospecting based on research.
  • Manage contractual terms and conditions.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, discounts, when necessary.
  • Identify new service and product opportunities within assigned customer account(s).

  Customer Experience

  • Clearly define customer objectives.
  • Act as primary liaison between assigned customer(s) and Catalyst Workplace Activation.
  • Committed to long term relationships with the customer.
  • Ensure that customer objectives are met.
  • Deliver results that exceed customer's expectations.

Account Management

  • Provides knowledge and resources to educate the customer on industry and business trends, along with new product and work environment solutions.
  • Provides innovative, strategic, and consultative solutions




  • Minimum of 3 years contract furniture industry experience
  • A. or B.S. degree


  • Proven sales success, ideally in the commercial office furniture industry.
  • Previous success in working with customers to develop specific facility strategy and plan.
  • Experience with design, and/or space planning, especially in Living Office applications is
  • A developed network of corporate contacts in the Puget Sound market.
  • Demonstrates ability to write, speak and present professionally and persuasively.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop widespread support with client decision makers and
  • Experience managing a process from customer contact and proposal through visualization, budgeting, scope, specifications and revisions.
  • Construction, architecture, design knowledge preferred.
