Job Description

Responsible for providing leadership, coaching and management of installation personnel.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. People Development
  • Provide training of procedures for new personnel.
  • Provide leadership and opportunity for motivation and personal growth to team members.
  • Determine and maintain proper staffing levels.
  • Establish performance objectives for installation team.
  • Formulate training needs and maintain ongoing training programs.


  1. Operations
  • Establish standard operating procedures and ensure accountability to follow procedures.
  • Provide service analysis and work planning capabilities.
  • Oversee proper distribution of workflow within the team.


  1. Quality/Customer Satisfaction
  • Define, monitor and measure standards of performance for services managed and delivered.
  • Solicit feedback from internal and external customers to clearly define expectations.
  • Establish performance measurement systems.
  • Establish a quality program and continuous improvement process.


  1. Organizational Relationships
  • Develop and promote responsible cooperation and accountability between neighborhoods and installation.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication within the organization.
  • Cultivate and promote the culture of Catalyst Workplace Activation.
  • Develop feedback system to ensure customer satisfaction and accountable communications between all departments.
  • Support and implement cross-training programs among the company departments.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Minimum 2 years furniture industry experience; prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Possession of valid Washington State Driver's License with superior driving record; ability to drive and operate company vehicle without restrictions
  • CPR certified or ability to be certified
  • Able to operate a forklift
  • Proven team building abilities


Other Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Able to successfully organize and direct a crew of 20 or more installers
  • Able to lead an installation of (100) or more stations to completion
  • Able to actively participate in construction meetings
  • Able to correctly specify and design a small project
  • Able to accurately provide time estimates on short notice
  • Able to be a resource for product application questions
  • Able to provide timely, accurate feedback to company personnel
  • Able to create, implement and monitor training programs for installers
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Independent decision making skills; creative problem solver
  • Availability to work odd and extended hours
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, sound judgment and customer satisfaction


Physical Requirements

  • Stand: Remaining on one's feet in an upright position
  • Walking: Moving about on foot
  • Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) in excess of 50lbs routinely
  • Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder
  • Pushing: Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force
  • Pulling: Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves toward the force (includes jerking)
  • Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps. Body agility is emphasized
  • Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching
  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
  • Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees
  • Crouching: Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine
  • Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
  • Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
  • Fingering: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling
  • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds by ear
  • Vision: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
  • Far Vision: Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more
  • Depth Perception: Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are
  • Field of Vision: Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point
